When it comes to the truth about radiation and health effects, there are no experts who are honest - not in government, not in science, not anywhere. Yet, people would rather listen to liars than challenge their assumptions about the sources of the so-called truth and disregard the purveyors of actual truth on this topic: the non-creditialed self-taught. - Andrew Kishner, May 18, 2013

Compassion Will Save the World Project

I have decided to commence a new project under the umbrella of NuclearCrimes.org called the Compassion Will Save the World Project which is aimed at fostering a charitable and benevolent spirit within the human race. I have learned through my activism and meditation on the philosophy of social change that there is a reason why efforts aimed at world betterment often fail. A necessary but missing ingredient for our success is a critical mass of compassionate individuals in the world that would naturally and effortlessly propagate any and all acts of kindness and goodwill across humanity. What we need is simple: more compassion.

Nuclear Past   Nuclear Present Nuclear Future

'It is a very comfortable thing to think that the greatest threat to the world is a decision still to be made, which may never be made -- that is, the decision to engage in nuclear warfare.  Sadly, the truth is quite otherwise.  The earth has been under nuclear attack for almost half a century.' Mother Country, Marilynne Robinson, 1989

We are stuck in timeless nuclear bondage - a nuclear-version of 'Groundhog Day' with the exception being that each moment physical (bodily) damage from the poisoned nuclear past and psychic damage from the haunting nuclear future add new victims to the collective 'nuclear suffering.' Liberation from the nuclear continuum is achieved by freeing our minds and accepting responsibility for others' suffering.

'It is feared that if many H-bombs are used there will be universal death, sudden only for a minority, but for the majority a slow torture of disease and disintegration.' - Russell-Einstein Manifesto, 1955

Ex-Nuclear Weapons Lab Scientist Talks about Compassion and Ridding the World of Nukes

Andreas Toupadakis quit Lawrence Livermore National Lab in 2000 to campaign against nuclear weapons. Toupadakis was interviewed by Maria Gilardin, the host of 'TUC Radio' in San Francisco, in late 2000. He told Maria that earlier that year (in 2000) he was invited to speak at an anti-nuclear conference in Japan and while there met with several survivors of the A-bomb attacks. Toupadakis reveals in the interview that learning about the victims' lives, their struggles and both disabilities and hopes turned out to be a life changing experience.

Toupadakis' description of his transformation in Japan resonated with me because the nuclear victims I met when I was campaigning against 'Divine Strake' in Utah likewise had a life-changing effect which strengthened my resolve to keep on pushing for nuclear abolishment and also fighting for the rights of all nuclear victims. Toupadakis' compassion also extends to hunger, poverty, war and the future of all life that could be destroyed at any moment by nuclear warheads that still remain on hair-trigger alert.
