LaSalle Falls Apart, Operator Asks NRC If They Can Put a Hemi
In It- Exelon is proceeding with a formal request to the NRC for a mega-power boost (aka
'uprate') at the LaSalle plant to increase thermal output by a whopping 12.5%. Also, it has
been learned that the culprit of the technical shutdown of LaSalle Unit 1 reactor on
April 27th was the same exact valve that failed
following a scram in February 2011 due to a welding defect. The recommended fix (buy a new one, duh!) was apparently not heeded;
Status: LaSalle 1 is being restarted (at 22%). LaSalle 2 is at 1% power.

Cancer 2012
In a world where one in two will get cancer and something like half of those unfortunates will die from it, we should be in a health state of emergency. We are. And we aren't.
The most trusted experts who are looking into the matter are saying - and people believe it when they hear it from MDs - that the culprits of cancer aren't fully known. So...in what seems like a 'best effort,' what do these MDs do? They feed us useless information.
Experts have since day one bombarded us with cancer prevention advice YET in all of these decades their tips haven't really worked, have they?
You can eat all the greens or take cream color-coated pills of antiwhatnots and exercise all you want and you'll probably have the same chance of getting cancer as the 3-pack-a-day alcoholic next door. Why? Because the experts have denied us all knowledge that we should be staying away from foods with 'organ seeking' manmade radioactivity in them. That's the root of the cancer epidemic.
The best cancer prevention is to avoid foods that are tainted from radioactive contamination, which unfortunately (and very inconveniently) means all food - the entire global food supply remains contaminated from releases from historical nuclear bomb tests, nuclear reactors, radiopharmaceutical plants, etc... Our global food supply is actually getting much more contaminated lately from Fukushima, but not exclusively from Fukushima.
Since no one is making any attempt to ensure that we have a radioactive-free diet (because the 'science' behind low-dose radiation exposure has been falsified to suit the nuclear industry and the nuclear powers), we are truly stuck in an abusive situation. When your protectors know you are being harmed but keep you from knowing, that is abuse.
It is no wonder people are getting bit by the cancer bug in droves despite all the hard work by the cancer institutes, who are located in and answer to 'nuclear club' governments. They know the truth. They are covering it up. Yet no people in these places will step forward and tell the truth! What's the use of liberties if no man or woman's spirit in free but corrupt nations ever becomes moved to do good and courageous things?
Prior to Fukushima, the environment (outside of reactor sites) was growing less contaminated, but since Fukushima the environment is getting much more unhealthy to live in. That means the cancer and genetic effects/defects will worsen. And there is really no place to go now in this world to be safe. There is no place where food is rad-free and even if you find such a place you can't stop the nuclear contamination from reaching your sanctuary. If it's miraculously not in the food, it will end up in the air, and will keep arriving in the air everywhere as long as there are nuclear power sources in space and on land, and there is wind.
In any abusive relationship, the abusee continues with life as if things were normal and uses coping mechanisms to deal with the harm inflicted on them. In the same exact way, us Earthlings forge ahead in the direction of our 'American Dream' (or European or Asian versions) despite the cancer epidemic because, one, we believe our protectors would not hold back from us critical and reliable information about health threats and, two, we believe that our protectors are working as 'hard' as possible to find cancer's cure and cause. Yet what we can't see is that cancer is the abuse our protectors have imposed on us. We are blind to the truth that cancer is a continuing medical and human rights violation by ordinary yet corrupt persons who lie with a carelessness beyond all comprehension.
The primary cause of decline of civilizations usually comes from within, and it would appear that deceit in all facets of our society, especially the protective faculties, is the biggest threat to our common survival. Is it any coincidence that the disabling of our most critical defenses that's happening to the public health function in society is playing out on a micro-scale in each of us as radiochemicals lodged in our bones impair blood forming functions designed to properly fight disease and illness?
Within and without, we are tearing apart our own defenses in a self-destructive manner much like cancer itself.
